Nasims gov ng is the official portal of the National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) where information about N-Power can be found.
The National Social Investment Management System is a welfare program initiated by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 2015 under President Buhari’s administration. The program is under the directive of the National Social Investment office and the goal of the program is equitable distribution of resources among children, youths, and women. The program is divided into four sectors to address poverty and boost economic development.

The four main programs under National Social Investment Management System Programs on nasims gov ng are:
N-Power
The N-Power is a platform that creates job and skill acquisition programs for the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The program is designed to target young Nigerians between the ages of 18-35 and aims to help young Nigerians acquire and develop life-long skills. This is to enable them to become practical solution providers in their communities, enabling them to become innovative in the domestic and global markets.
Conditional Cash Transfer
The conditional cash transfer program directly supports the most gullible by providing unbiased attached cash to those in the lowest income group, helping reduce poverty, improve nutrition and self-sustainability. It also boasts development through increased consumption.
Government Enterprise and Empowerment Program (GEEP)
This is a program that focuses on micro-lending investment for businesses of the financial pyramid. The beneficiaries are traders, women cooperatives, market women, enterprising youth, farmers, and agricultural workers at no interest rate.
National Home Grown School Feeding Program (NHGSFP)
This program provides a cost-efficient homegrown school feeding program with a deliberate focus on expanding school engagement, reducing the incidence of malnutrition, especially among poor people. It also empowers cooks while encouraging smallholder farmers’ local agriculture by boosting economic development via socio-economic value string. The major focus of the program is to provide free meals with food from smallholders farmers and boast communities nationwide.

N- Power
N-Power is a scheme established by President Mohammadu Buhari on 8 June 2016, to counterfeits the issue of unemployment among youths and to foster social development. The scheme was established as a segment of the National Social Investment Management System Program to provide a structure for relevant skill acquisition and development in participants. The scheme has succeeded in launching the following Batches: Batch A, Batch B, and currently Batch C. The minister in charge of the scheme is Sadiya Umar Farouq. The scheme currently has six categories namely; N-Teach, N-Health, N-Agro, N-Build, N-Creative, and N-Tech. The categories are segmented into graduates and non-graduates. N-Teach and N-Health are available for graduates and the National Youth Service Corps Certificate is a requisite while N-Agro, N-Build, N-creative, and N-teach are available for graduates and non-graduates.
N- Power Graduates Programs
N-Agro
This program is a platform that provides services to all farmers nationwide. The program also focuses on developing farm technical know-how and practices to boost productivity in the agricultural sector.
The other part of the program provides advanced technological and institutional development to farmers in rural communities. This program also bridges rural and urban sentiment by creating a link between rural and urban communities which implies that knowledge is centralized while inputting local knowledge practices. The N-power Agro is built to harmonize different communities of Nigeria to build a vast modern economy.
Education
The knowledge they say is power and the N-Teach program helps to enhance education in Nigerian Communities. Volunteers are deployed as teachers’ assistants in primary school where they interact with students and build their confidence while boosting their educational development. In addition, these volunteers bring education at the grassroots to these communities by helping the most side-lined members of the communities to engage in the modern workforce.
One core aspect of the program is the implementation of STEM and volunteers help to implement such in primary school by focusing on subjects like computer science, engineering, applied mathematics, and other tech information program.
Health
The N-Power believes that health is wealth and that’s why the N-Health is also part of the program. The N-Health deploys volunteers to provide medical health care services with preventive measures and the most vulnerable which are women and children. The scheme has helped to provide easy access to basic health services in poor communities. This program pays a dual purpose of enhancing the welfare of millions of Nigerians and supporting the development of healthcare infrastructure with community-based solutions.
N-Power Non-Graduate Programs
N-Power knowledge
The N-Power Knowledge program is the first step taken by the Federal Government to modify the knowledge sector. This program partners with eight planned innovation hubs across the country to provide an efficient and acceleration of technology with the enhancement of creative industries. The program is a ‘Training to Job’ initiative, ensuring that participants can get enrolled in the marketplace of an outsourcing capacity as employees, freelancers, and entrepreneurs.
The program is categorized into N-Creative, N-Teach hardware, and N-Tech Software.
N-Build
The N-build is a training certification that equips and trains 75,000 young unemployed Nigerians to build a new crop of an efficient and skilled workforce of technicians, artisans, and service professionals.
N-Power Batch C
The program was launched on 26th June 2020, online registration for the program commenced within 48 hours to which it was launched. One week after the online registration portal opened, three million applications were received. The program is segmented into Stream C1 and Stream C2. The Minister in charge Sadiya Umar Farouq said stream 1 will absorb 510,000 beneficiaries while stream 2 will absorb 490,000 beneficiaries. According to her, the graduate components will be paid monthly stipends of 30,000naira while the non-graduate component will be paid a monthly stipend of 10,000naira.
Stream 1 was launched on the 24th of August 2021 and applicants can use the USSD Shortcode *45665# to check if they are shortlisted.
Steps Shortlisted Stream 1 Beneficiaries are to follow these steps:
- Proceed to your designated area for physical verification
- After verification, proceed to your Place of Primary Assignment with your PPA letter (which is available for printing from your self-service portal under deployment.
- Have the letter signed by relevant PPA personnel and upload it back to your self-service portal.
In a situation where you have been posted outside your state of residence or a very far local government; you can redeploy.
Steps for Redeployment
- All redeployment requests to different states of residence should be forwarded to this email npower@nasims.gov.ng and state the reason for the redeployments with supporting documents if applicable.
- Login to your dashboard and click ‘deployment’ tap
- Click the ‘redeployment’ icon
- Click on “see available PPA’s”
- Click on “apply for redeployment”
- Provide redeployment information
- Select a new PPA from the list provided
- Click “submit request”
