Jamb Portal: 2022 UTME, DE Registration Portal
Jamb Portal e-Facility will be open for 2022 UTME, DE registration beginning from February 12, 2022, through March 19, 2022. Joint Admission Matriculation Board has also announced that the Mock examination will hold on April 20, 2022, while the main UTME will commence from April 20, 2022, and end on April 30, 2022.
Jamb Portal e-Facility provides robust online resources for candidates that are seeking to write Joint Admission Matriculation examinations to enter into tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Before you rush to the portal, I want to advise that you read this article first as it provides useful information on how you can navigate yourself through the platform.
What is JAMB?
JAMB is an acronym for Joint Admission Matriculation Board. It is a body that is responsible for the conduct of matriculation examinations for students seeking admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions such as Universities, Polytechnics, and Monotechnic/Colleges of Education in Nigeria.
Over the year, JAMB has transformed from an analog institution into a full-fledged digital-driven Institution. From the Jamb portal, candidates seeking admission into any of the Nigerian tertiary institutions can virtually do almost everything online ranging from registration to post-registration activities. This article is hereby written to provide a guide to candidates who may want to know how to navigate the Jamb Portal.
What can candidates do on Jamb Portal?
From the Jamb Portal, candidates can do the following:
- Create an e-Facility Account and Log in
- Check Jamb Mop-Up Result
- Request for Printing of Result Slip
- Print Admission Letter
- Apply for Correction of Data
- Late Application and Condonement of Illegitimate Admission
- Application for Change of Admission Letter
- Retrieval of Registration Number
- Inter-University Transfer
- Check Admission Status
How to Create Jamb e-Facility Account and Log in
Whatever you want to do on the Jamb Portal as a candidate, the starting point is that you must create an e-Facility Account. To create an e-Facility Account, you should follow these steps:
- Visit https://www.jamb.gov.ng/EfacilityLogin. A page will be displayed that you should login to your account. You cannot login because you don’t have an account yet.
- Click on “Create an Account” in front of “Don’t have an account yet?” A sign-up (e-Mail Verification) page will pop-up.
- On the sign-up (e-Mail Verification) page, enter your e-mail address. You should enter only the email address that is working. On the next line, confirm the email address by entering the same email address that you entered before. I advise that you don’t copy and paste. You should enter the email address manually. This is because, if you mistakenly entered a wrong email address initially may be by way of omitting of entering a wrong letter, it can be easily spotted and corrected.
- Enter your mobile telephone number and confirm the telephone number in the following line.
- Select a Secret Question from the list. This question will be asked in case you forgot your password.
- Provide your secret question answer.
- Click on Verify Email Address. You will receive a message on your screen that “Your e-mail address has been saved and a confirmation mail has been sent to you. Kindly check your inbox and spam folder. Confirm your e-mail by clicking on the link in the mail to continue your account creation. Your confirmation code is also sent to your provided GSM number.
- Login to your email address and look for an email from noreply@jamb.gov.ngentitled eMail Address Confirmation. The content of the mail will read:
eMail Address Confirmation.
Why do I need to confirm my email address? – JAMB shall be communicating with you via this email. Important information and notifications shall be passed to you via this email.
DO NOT share your password with Cafe or CBT Centre.
Click here to continue your Profile Creation
If you are however registering at the CBT Centre, this Confirmation Code: xxxxxxxxxx shall be required from you to complete your Profile Creation.

- Copy the code in the mail and go back to the Jamb portal e-facility
- Enter the confirmation code in the space provided on the Sign Up (e-Mail Verification) page
- Click Verify Code green button.
- A new page will be displayed where you will need to provide your personal details such as full names, gender, date of birth, mobile phone number, nationality, state of origin, local government area, and password.
- Click Sign up to complete the registration. You will be notified on your screen that your account creation was successful.
- Click “Proceed to Login” to log in to your account.
After you have created your account, you will get another email from JAMB. JAMB will send you the details of your profile which you provided during the registration process: Find below the sample of the mail:

How to Reset Your Jamb Portal e-Facility Login Password
You may want to reset your password for two reasons. It is either you lost your password or you feel that your password has been compromised. If you forgot your password, you can actually find your password from the email that JAMB sent to you after your registration. That is why it is important that you don’t delete the mail. However, if you can’t find the mail again, you should take the following steps:
- Visit https://www.jamb.gov.ng/EfacilityLogin. A page will be displayed that you should login to your account.
- Locate “Forgot your password?” and click on “Click here to reset your password”
- A “Forgot Password” will be displayed. Enter your registered e-Mail Address and click After login, “Password Reset”.
- A link will be sent to your email address for your password reset. Click on the link and enter your new password.
You can follow the same step is you intentionally want to reset your password. Alternatively, since you still know the existing password by following these steps:
- Login through Jamb portal login https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/eFacility_/ with your login details.
- Click on “My Profile”
- Click “Change Password” under your profile picture.
- A page will be displayed where you will enter your existing password, new password and then confirm new password.
- Click “Change Password” to save.
Jamb Portal Environment
Jamb Portal is designed in such a way that is user-friendly. At least, anyone who has reached the level of preparing for JAMB examinations should be able to navigate through the website without much problem. But for the purpose of the people who may want to be guided, this section will be useful to them.
After you have logged in with your Username and Password, you will see a dashboard containing the following modules:
My Profile: This is the place where you can view your personal information. You can also change your password from this module.
Print UTME Main Examination Slip: If you enrolled for UTME Main Examination, you will be able to print your slip here.
NOUN Registration: This is why you can purchase a form for enrolment into NOUN. As at the time of writing this article, the website reported that this service is no longer available here. You are advised to kindly visit the Jamb State Office for the service.
Part-Time Registration: This is why you can purchase a form for enrolment into Part-Time Programme. As at the time of writing this article, the website reported that this service is no longer available here. You are advised to kindly visit the Jamb State Office for the service.
Other modules on the dashboard include Sandwich Registration, Print Mock Examination Slip, Check UTME Mock Examination Results, Check UTME Examination Results, Register for Direct Entry, Print Result Slip, Admission Letter, Regularize Admission, My Payments, and Check Admission Status.
Please note that not all these modules will be applicable to you. You just need to click on the module pertaining to what you want to do per time.
Post Registration e-Facility Charges
It is important that many of the features on the Jamb portal e-Facility are not free. You will need to make payment before you can enjoy some of the features. Find below the applicable Jamb charges:
